About Me
I’m Michelle - the founder and lead trainer at Pawfect Pets Training.
My journey with dogs isn’t just a career choice; it’s a genuine passion built on compassion and a deep respect for our canine companions.
I hold a Dog Training & Behaviour Certificate through Steve & Vicki Austin’s program, and for the past four years I’ve had the privilege of working closely with dogs of all ages, breeds and personalities.
Every dog I meet shapes how I train, teach and understand behaviour - each one offering a new lesson in patience, communication and trust. Their subtle signals, big emotions and unique stories have taught me that effective training starts with understanding, not demands.
At Pawfect Pets Training, I focus on building calm, confident relationships where your dog feels safe, supported and understood. “Obedience” matters, but it’s the life skills (settling, coping, listening and feeling secure) that truly help dogs thrive.
I also know firsthand how stressful and overwhelming behavioural challenges can feel. You’re trying your best, and sometimes it’s hard not to feel frustrated or wonder what you’re doing wrong. Puppy Class
Set your puppy up for success with positive early socialisation and foundational training. Our 4-week Puppy Class teaches essential manners, confidence and calm behaviour in a safe, fun environment. Classes are open to puppies aged 8-16 weeks.

1:1 Training
Our 1:1 Training provides personalised guidance tailored to your dog’s unique needs and behaviour. We help you address problem behaviours, build essential skills and create lasting change - with ongoing support after every session.

Group Training
Our Group Training sessions provide a structured, social environment where dogs learn essential skills alongside others. Focusing on obedience, confidence, and real-world manners, these classes are perfect for dogs who thrive in a positive, interactive setting. Classes are open to dogs of all ages.

Home Visits
Our in-home training brings expert guidance directly to your doorstep. We assess your dog’s behaviour in their natural environment, provide customised training plans, and work with you to build lasting skills and confidence - with ongoing support after every session.

We use positive, reward-based training only. This approach helps dogs learn quickly, enjoy the process (it’s fun for them!), and build long-term confidence without fear or force.
We work with a wide range of behaviours, including jumping, leash-pulling, barking, reactivity, separation anxiety, puppy basics, and general manners.
It’s important to remember that all dogs are different, and the number of sessions will depend on your dog’s needs and your goals. Some behaviours improve in just a few sessions, while more complex issues may require a structured program.
